Management Presentations

Virtually all companies - large and small are faced with the task of "selling" performance results, the business plan, a new product development proposal and previously untested initiatives to a wide range of "stakeholders", including senior management, shareholders, investors, buyers and sometimes even the company staff.

The input of seasoned professionals can make all the difference between an "average" and "completely desirable" outcome. Some of the questions and implied benefits for this approach include the following:

  • You know your company, but can you anticipate the mindset of your audience?

  • Will your preoccupation with routine running of the business interfere with the need to be objective, meaning to consider the relevance to an "outsider?"

  • Will members of your audience understand local market, customer, competitor, price and other underlying factors? Can these be demonstrated as realistic elements and not excuses? Can even bad news be expressed in a positive way?

  • Do you really have the skills and resources to create a presentation that delivers meaningful information in a concise and appropriate format?

  • Do your personnel have the skills to use the material to best effect and deliver the intended messages clearly and concisely?

Structuring & presenting Information

ASPAC specialises in delivering information. We offer decades of experience in presenting to just about every imaginable category of stakeholder, from benign to hostile and across numerous industries, big and small. One of our most valuable contributions to the process may well be the mentoring of the various presenters to ensure each stays "on message" and delivers information is a concise, positive and relevant way to suit the needs of the recipients.

The presentation task is essentially no different to any other information management requirement where the criteria include the following:

  • Defining the characteristics and expectations of the "audience" participants

  • Establishing exactly what "triggers" (value propositions) will best meet those expectations

  • Selecting and compiling the information into an object library to achieve consistency, regardless of which presenter/presentation section uses it

  • Preparing a presentation template for consistency of style

  • Using innovative presentation tools - like a website - as the presentation software. This option is far more adaptable than slides. It allows the information to be structured logically, yet allows flexibility to move to different "views" of that information.
