Analysis, evaluation & business planning

All businesses, large and small need to base strategies on factual and objective assessment of the underlying dynamics & structure affecting the business now and in the forseeable future. A critical aspect of this is objectivity - the ability to set aside the "how we do things here" mentality in order to evaluate current and potential market categories, define the needs and characteristics of the various purchasers, how your products & services are perceived by others relative to your competitiors and from this analysis, to generate strategic options, all with cause & effect scenarios.

This process can be completed at surprising low cost. ASPAC will consult with your directors, management staff, resellers (and frequently with selected customers) using proven techniques to provide unbiased conclusions and define what you may realistically claim as your competitive advantages. We will review the options with you to determine feasibility and priorities, relative to the available mix of financial and other resources. There are many examples on this website where these techniques have been deployed.

This preliminary evaluation is critical to understanding what and how customers, prospects, staff and suppliers need information and in what form it is best communicated.

  • It will define the "value propositions," meaning what you offer and why you should be regarded as the preferred supplier of these products and services.
  • It will be within the bounds of feasibility, corporate culture and available resources

This process will establish the groundwork, processes, priorities and actions for all aspects of effective marketing, leading to a realistic and measurable implementation. On this basis, creating and structuring appropriate information becomes fairly straightforward and far more cost effective.

This flowchart is a simplified summary of the processes from evaluation through development to implemention of an effective information-management system
